We sure do have something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving! Lane Stanley Risovi joined our family at 3:40 a.m. on November 27th! He weighed in at 6 lbs. 9.2 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. We think he is perfect!
Lane was very anxious to join our family. Besides being about 2 1/2 weeks early, he decided to give mom a 3 hour and 40 minute labor! My water broke at about 12 a.m., so I called the hospital and Justin and I took off for Fargo. My contractions were about 2 minutes apart on the way to Fargo, and by the time I got to the hospital, I was dialated to 5 and completely effaced. I dialated a centimeter every 15 minutes, and when the doctor arrived, Lane was ready to be born! I pushed through 3 contractions when the doctor arrived and out came Lane!
Grandma Lois, Grandpa Ted, Great Grandma Winky, and Great Aunt Peggy were at the hospital when Lane was born, so they got to see him about about 10 minutes old. Justin's parents' and brother are on their way, and my family will be back later this evening. I will be in the hospital (Meritcare in Fargo) until Saturday. Feel free to come and meet Mr. Lane!

Yes, the ladies do hate you...sounds likek your labor went very well...that's awesome! Hope your first few days at home are going just as smoothly!!
